Winter
2001
Well what
can we say it snowed, about 6 inches (well thats what my husband says
is 6 inches) !!! All humour aside we had a lovely 8 days. Food at King's
Arms excellent, beware of the huge portions. Cottage warm & cosy.
Well equipped throughout. Sorry to be leaving.
We have had
a truly lovely relaxing holiday in a splendid, well equipped cottage.
The weather has been kind to us although we were all hoping for some
snow ! We look forward to returning next year. PS The dishwasher was
great.
Arrived Sat.
Snowed on Sun 8 inches roads flooded Wednesday but had a fantastic time,
great cottage. King's Arms good, try Bridge Inn for change. Hawes interesting.
Aysgarth Falls good.

Winter/Spring
2001 (Start of Foot & Mouth)
Well equipped
house in a lovely area. Shame about the lack of walking bur managed
to have a good holiday.
Excellent
cottage, plenty of room for all of us (4 kids). Unfortunately we couldn't
do a lot of what we planned but still had a great time. Thank you for
the Easter eggs it was a nice touch.
Excellent
room space for all four of us that could make this short break. Visited
Reeth many times but not stayed in a cottage. Very relaxing. Copper
Kettle will do a "take away" meal - handy when you have been
out for a long day.
With imagination
there are still plenty of lovely walks along the hill tracks - recommend
Langthwaite and across the watersplash to Healaugh. Also over the top
to Askrigg - bleak but awesome ! If you fancy a 15 minute drive to Hunton
the food at the New Inn is well worth it.
A lovely,
very well-equipped cottage, in a beautiful setting. Very frustrating
to have the Dales so close but out of bounds ! Perhaps a reason to return
! King's Arms very welcoming. Bridge Inn disappointing.

We
have had a lovely holiday despite all the difficulties (Foot &
Mouth again). Reeth has been very welcoming and surrounding countryside
is spectacular.
A
lovely house for a family reunion. Scenery fantastic, weather perfect.
Video and games were enjoyed by all ages. Thank you.
Superb
accommodation and weather, what a treat ! All the "locals"
do good food. Beamish Museum a good day out, get there by 10am in order
to see it all. Hardraw Force a bit disappointing, but Skipton Castle
worth a visit. All in all a great holiday. Thanks.
Lovely
house, in a beautiful area. The weather was mostly fine, but even
when it wasn't we all had a great time. The two nearest pubs do great
food, and the atmosphere is really good and welcoming - we had many
good evenings playing pool at the King's Arms.

Thank you
for letting me stay in your house, it has been brill. My favourite bits
were White Scar Caves because they were beautiful and then I also enjoyed
The Forbidden Corner they were enjoyed by everyone. The house is brilliant,
the attic was good fun and I loved the balcony. Thanks for letting me
stay !
Lovely holiday
- House is beautiful and very well equipped. Would love to come again.
Thank you - we've had a lovely holiday !
Marvellous
week - great meal at the CB Inn at Arkengarthdale.
Good holiday
- weather could have been better. Happy with house.
Thursday
it rained ! The valourous of our number girded themselves and despite
the rain, strode off manfully for the day's walk - being joined womanfully
in the rain for a pub lunch in Langthwaite. It was raining as we gladly
returned home to Bellegreen, lighted a fire and costed ... reading,
dozing, sipping and preparing to set out in the rain for a good supper
at the Balck Bull. Bellegreen truly has been HOME from HOME this week,
everyone of our party appreciating its comforts, for which we record
our thanks.

Very nice
cottage, lovely village. Dogs allowed in King's Arms for drink and bar
meal. Copper Kettle does a very nice meal. Put rubbish out Thursday
evening, its collected very early Friday mornings.
We all had
an excellent week, thank you, the cottage is lovely 'home from home'.
The Black Bull does lovely food and a good pint of Theakston Old Peculier
! This was Joshua's first holiday (he's seven months old) and it was
fabulous. Couldn't have wished for a nicer cottage, a friendlier town
or a better pub ! The Black Bull does lovely chicken & mushroom
pies (I had 4 in 1 week !) An excellent time had by all. Hope to be
back in v. near future.
What an absolutely
wonderful, homely cottage ! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed staying here
& sampling the local ! (pubs were excellent). Reeth & surrounding
countryside is so beautiful ... we will defintely be back !

Winter
2001/2
Wonderful
family Christmas spent in a very comfortable, homely and well equipped
cottage. Wine/crackers/Christmas decorations a very nice touch. Good
meal at King's Arms - can be recommended. Hope to return in the future.
Lovely cosy
cottage, great views through skylights over hills ! Recommend King's
Arms for good food, but its worth the 8 minute drive up to the CB Inn
at Arkengarthdale for a truly excellent meal ! Thanks for providing
those extra little touches that make a great holiday (particularly torches
and candles during power cuts). Joshua enjoyed the plethora of pool
tables and Nigel enjoyed the beer ! The swingbridge on the river from
Reeth to Grinton has been washed away so beware if walking that way.
Thanks for great holiday, we'll certainly recommend it (when the builders
next door have finished).
