Bellegreen Visitors' Comments 2002

Winter 2002

We have had snow, sleet, rain and sunshine but once again a lovely relaxing holiday. The cottage is wonderful and is very well equipped. Hope to be back again next year. And now the proud owner of a dishwasher !!!

Weather been pretty good, although sleet and rain today. This cottage is really lovely and very welcoming. Good pubs and very reasonable prices food, good walking, spent more time in the pubs. Thank u.

Lovely cottage - well equipped, comfortable, welcoming open fire. Very pleasant village - super shops, handy Post Office and excellent pub food at the Buck and King's Arms ... too many 'jolly' evenings at the latter !! Overall an excellent week, where we found some exhilarating walks and were very lucky with the weather !

If you need it, it's here, if its not here you won't need it. Applicable to both cottage and Reeth.

Lovely week, lovely cottage, lovely weather, lovely place - Thanks.

Spring 2002

A lovely time was had by all in this fantastic house, weather has been perfect and we've walked our socks off. Thank you for a lovely holiday !!!

Thank you for an excellent base for a great holiday. I liked going to the shops. Thank you for a great holiday. Reeth is a lovely place and has great scenery. The King's Arms is a good place to eat !

Lovely, cosy cottage, very big and spacious. I love it, ohh yes ! Some fantastic views and walks around this area and the locals are very friendly ! Wonderful cottage and lovely little village. We thoroughly enjoyed our wonderful week and the lovely weather was an added bonus ! Thank you for a great week. The lambs were beautiful.

Got fed up with scanning the images - which you can't read anyway

Summer 2002

We had an excellent time again ! The only blot on the horizon was that we spent two days on a puzzle ! The pub was up to its usual standards !

Had you been a fly on the wall this week, in the homely kitchen/dining room you would have heard the world put to rights, numerous giggling fits and frequent complimentary references to this house (we took it in terms to cook and ate in every evening). We feel very fortunate to have chanced on Reeth, Swaledale and Bellegreen. We came here to paint but it has rained every day: if we hadn't been staying here we might have got depressed ! Thank you.

Wow, there is everything here, even candles for the dining table, and delicious ice-cream just up the hill, and a barbeque and good shops and a b i i i g hill to climb. Oh yes. I love ice-cream. Beautiful home with flowers and animals everywhere, and beautiful people with lots of love to give ! A good port in a storm, with great ale. A lovely village and a great cottage to stay in. (5 different members of the party).

It goes without saying that we think the cottage is lovely as this is our second visit. We love Reeth and had hoped to be out and about a bit more (our first visit was during March), presuming good weather. After 2 good days the rains came. In fact on Friday I saw Noah shopping at the veg stall. Having said that the pubs are good, the food great and the locals friendly. Enjoyed the warm fresh breadcakes immensely. I know this will be only one of a succession of visits. SUPERB !

Lovely cottage and nice walks enjoyed playing in the playground. My dog Sally loved chasing the sheep. Everyone thought it was funny apart from my mum. Again lovely cottage and a lot of room. Very nice.

The weather could have been a lot better but we still had a lovely 'family' holiday. The cottage was exactly how it was 2 years ago - beautiful. Thank you.

Had a fantastic week in a fantastic cottage. Reeth is a beautiful village and we have got some very special memories of our time here.

Splendid weather, excellent cottage and the best scenery in the UK - not a bad way to relax for a week. We'd like to take the Copper Kettle home and put the ice cream parlour next to it for good measure !

Reeth Show was excellent. Forbidden Corner worth a trip too.

Autumn 2002

Enjoyed returning to Reeth to recharge the batteries. Lots to see and do as usual. Recommend a trip to the Mackenzie Thorpe gallery in Richmond but may be worth forgetting the cheque book.

Thank you for a lovely stay. Swaledale is as beautiful as ever. Cottage lovely with all we needed.

Brilliant. Thank you. Cottage is lovely, had good weather, beautiful place.

Our fifth or sixth week in Swaledale, as usual an excellent week to recharge our batteries. We have walked in rain, hail and sunshine. Cottage is lovely a real home from home with pictures of Southwold and the radio tuned to radio 4. Food at C.B. Inn up to its usual good standard. Thank you for a great week.

Great cottage, everything you need. Good weather and fantastic walk. Thank you.

Wonderful cottage. Reeth is a lovely village. One of the best Christmas we've had.
